When a Giant is Slapped...

Given the "relationship" between China and North Korea, it will be interesting to see how the Red Leaders deal with North Korea's recent testing of a nuclear device.

At this time, China is publicly condemning while still seeking positive measures. China must know that North Korea's actions will put pressure on Japan to strengthen its defenses. Current quotes aside, it may even compel Japan to amend its Constitution. We'll see.

Regardless, China has enjoyed a very exclusive monopoly on the power obtained by nuclear weapon arsenals in the Pacific Southeast Asia. Its leaders have shown a history of thinking in terms of centuries as opposed to years. The possible ramifications of North Korea's recent testing are most assuredly recognized by those in Beijing.

If Little Brother continues to flaunt his ambitions in the face of its Big Brother, Big Brother may choose to leave North Korea to fend for itself.
